Driver seriously injured in Brockman Street crash
A 51-year-old Beaverton man driving a gray Ford Escape was seriously injured Sunday morning when his vehicle crashed into a fence and a wall on Southwest Brockman Street near Davies Road.
Beaverton police said Michael Babcock suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. His medical condition also has not been released.
Police said the accident happened at about 8:30 a.m. Sunday, June 23. Officers said the Escape was traveling west on Brockman Street near Davies Road when it left the road, struck a fence and several trees, and eventually came to rest on a concrete retaining wall.
Police said alcohol use may have been a factor in the crash.
Brockman Street was closed for a couple of hours as police completed their investigation.
