Driver cut from damaged car in Foster Road crash
Three people were injured early Tuesday morning when two cars collided at the intersection of Southeast 111th Avenue and Foster Road, pinning one of the drivers inside a damaged vehicle.
Portland Fire and Rescue reported that the accident happened at about 4:39 a.m. Tuesday, May 21. Crews from Truck 7 (Mill Park) used extrication equipment to cut the pinned driver from the vehicle. The driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The patients name and medical condition have not been released.
One of the other two people involved in the accident refused treatment. The other was also taken to a hospital for treatment. No information was provided about the injured people.
Crews from Engine 29 (Powellhurst) were the first on the scene and treated the injured while Engine 11 (Lents) set up hose lines in case of a vehicle fire.
