The Hillsboro Hops evened their series at the Tri-City Dust Devils at one game apiece with a 5-3 victory on Saturday night.
Hillsboro erased a 2-0 deficit with four runs in the fifth inning.
A Tri-City run in the seventh pulled the Dust Devils to within 4-3.
The Hops got another run in the eighth.
Five Hillsboro players had a hit, and five Hops had a walk. Tri-City had seven hits.
Starter Jhoan Duncan (3-2) earned the win, pitching five innings of two-run ball, with five hits and no walks allowed before the crowd of 2,626 at Gesa Stadium.
Hillsboro improved to 9-8 in the second-half standings of the Class A Northwest League South Division. Tri-City is 9-8 in the North.
The five-game series still has games at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
