The Vikings win 142-85.

These are pre-3-point-line days, too.

Williams, who is leading the nation with 38.5 points per game, sinks 34 of 49 field-goal attempts and 3 of 5 free throws. He has 30 points in the first half, then 41 after intermission to shatter his previous personal best of 51 points.

PSU improves to 14-8, while SOSC falls to 10-11.

The following season, Williams would tally 81 points against Rocky Mountain and earn first-team All-American honors.

He would go on to play six years in the NBA.
