Portland's four-game, six-day trip continues with game No. 2. It's a 5 p.m. PT match-up with Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden (ESPN, CSNNW).

New York is 19-29, Portland 34-14.

The Knicks are coming off a 191-98 loss at Milwaukee, where Brandon Knight's 3-pointer with 2.3 seconds left beat them, despite 36 points from Anthony and 30 from J.R. Smith.

Anthony is scoring 27.3 points per game on an average of 21.3 field-goal attempts.

Ex-Blazers guard Raymond Felton starts for the Knicks. He is averaging 10.5 points and 5.7 assists in 32.6 minutes per game, shooting 40.2 percent from the field and 29.9 percent on 3-pointers.

Timbers

Portland continues its four-game Arizona preseason with a 4 p.m. PT friendly against Houston.

Boys basketball

The Metro League has Beaverton at Jesuit, 7:15 p.m.

PIL 5A Madison visits 6A Grant for a non-league test, 7:30 p.m.

College men's basketball

No. 23 Gonzaga looks to avenge a loss to Portland when the Pilots play at Spokane, Wash., at 8 p.m. (Root). UP won at home over the Zags 82-73 on Jan. 9. Gonzaga leads the West Coast Conference with a 10-1 record (20-3 overall). Portland sixth out of 10 teams at 5-6 (13-10 overall).

Bethesda University visits Multnomah U., for a 7 p.m. game.

Prep wrestling

Three PIL dual meets are on tap — Roosevelt at Cleveland, Wilson at Madison, and Benson at Lincoln. All start at 7:30 p.m.
