FitzPatrick starred at Beaverton High, then at USC. He went on to play six seasons in the NFL at various offensive line positions.
The 6-8, 305-pounder was born in Heidelberg, Germany but grew up in Beaverton and became a state champion and huge national recruit.
As a USC senior tackle, he was voted the Trojans' most valuable player on offense.
He was a first-round NFL draft pick, No. 13 overall, by the San Diego Chargers. He spent four seasons with San Diego, then two with the Los Angeles Raiders.
