COLLEGE WATCH: Duck women post 3 indoor wins

TRACK AND FIELD

At Lexington, Ky., the University of Oregon women won three events on the first day of the two-day Rod McCravy Memorial Meet.

The UO distance medley team of Annie Leblanc, Chizoba Okodogbe, Laura Roesler and Megan Patrignelli ran the best time in the nation this season and the fourth-fastest mark in school history (10:56.77).

Jasmine Todd and Jenna Prandini went 1-2 in the long jump, with Todd's 21-0 on her first attempt putting her first on the list of national bests. Prandini went 20-1 1/2. Todd's leap ranks second all-time at UO; Jamesha Youngblood jumped 21-6 1/4 in 2010.

Also for Oregon, Lauren Crockett was a winner, clearing 6-0 in the high jump, a personal best that ties her with Laurel Roberts (1991) for second on the UO all-time list.

  • • Portland State freshman Whitney Diggs lowered her Big Sky-leading indoor 400-meter mark Friday, running 55.65, and qualified for the conference championships in the 200 with a 24.71 at the Cherry & Silver Invitational in Alburquerque, N.M.

Jazmin Ratcliff ran 24.97 in the 200 to earn a spot in the Big Sky meet.

Also qualifying was Rockwell Tufty in the men's high jump, with his clearance of 6-6 3/4.

    The meet concludes on Saturday.
