COLLEGE HOOPS: Rowe sets UO record with 41 points in women's win
At KeyArena in Seattle, freshman Chrishae Rowe set the Oregon Ducks scoring record with 41 points in a 105-100 victory Wednesday night over Seattle University.
Rowe, who was second in Pac-12 scoring at 22.7 points per game, scored 23 in the first half and finished the game 14 of 25 from the field, including 6 of 8 from 3-point range. The 5-10 guard from Corona, Calif., also sank 7 of 9 free throws and had eight rebounds and three steals
The old UO mark of 38 was achieved five times, most recently by current Duck Jillian Alleyne against Portland State last season.
The Pac-12 record is 50 points.
Alleyne, a 6-3 sophomore forward from Fontana, Calif., helped the Ducks' cause Wednesday with 17 points and 16 rebounds her fifth double-double of the season.
Oregon (5-2) is 5-0 when Alleyne gets a double-double.
The Ducks have hit the century mark in points four times this season.
For Seattle (3-5), Kacie Sowell scored 25 points, Sylvia Shephard had 23 and Taelor Ross had 15.
Oregon's next game is 2 p.m. Saturday versus Portland State at Matthew Knight Arena.
