TIMBERS: Four of six Cascadia Cup matches at home in 2014

One season is over. The next season is set.

The Portland Timbers, knocked out of the 2013 MLS playoffs on Sunday, had their 34-game 2014 regular season released on Monday.

Portland's fourth MLS campaign will begin at home on Saturday, March 8 against the Philadelphia Union.

The Timbers will play each Western Conference opponent three times and each Eastern Conference club one.

Portland will have two home games against Seattle, Vancouver, San Jose and Chivas — giving the Timbers a huge advantage in their fan-based Cascadia Cup.

The Timbers will play on the road twice against Real Salt Lake, Los Angeles, Dallas and Colorado.

The first Northwest rivalry game is Saturday, April 5 at Jeld-Wen Field against Seattle.

The regular-season finale for Portland is Saturday, Oct. 25 at FC Dallas.
