PREP SOCCER: CC boys advance, Wilson girls surprise again

BOYS SOCCER

It'll be Central Catholic vs. McKay and Jesuit vs. West Linn in the Class 6A semifinals on Tuesday.

Central and Jesuit will be the host teams.

No. 1-ranked Central Catholic advanced Saturday with a 2-0 victory over Beaverton at Delta Park's Strasser Field.

McKay defeated South Eugene 2-1 after a 5-4 advantage on penalty kicks.

No. 2 Jesuit eliminated Grant 1-0 at Jesuit, and West Linn edged visiting Century 1-0.

 The 3A/2A/1A semifinals Tuesday will have Portland Adventist Academy against St. Mary's of Medford, with PAA the host team, and Oregon Episcopal at Riverside.

In Saturday's quarterfinals, No. 4-ranked Portland Adventist defeated visiting Canyonville Christian 3-1, St. Mary's knocked off No. 1 Riverdale 1-0 at Lewis & Clark College, No. 3 OES beat visiting Portland Christian 4-0 and No. 2 Riverside bumped Blanchet Catholic 4-1 at Riverside.

GIRLS SOCCER

The 6A semifinals on Tuesday will have Westview at Sunset and Tualatin at Jesuit.

Jesuit ousted visiting Lincoln 2-0 on Saturday. Tualatin was a 1-0 winner at home over Sheldon. Sunset turned away visiting Grant 3-0. Westview won 3-2 in overtime at West Salem.

 Wilson, the state's No. 22-ranked team, reached the 5A semifinals on Saturday, upsetting host and No. 7-ranked West Albany 3-1.

The Trojans will play Tuesday on the road against No. 3 Wilsonville, which defeated sixth-ranked Crescent Valley 4-1.

Wilson is 7-6-3, Wilsonville 12-3-1.

In Tuesday's other 5A semi, No. 4 Bend will play at No. 1 Summit.

Bend won 2-1 at home Saturday over Willamette, while Summit won 4-0 at home over Putnam.

• In the 3A/2A/1A semifinals, No. 1 Oregon Episcopal School will play host to No. 4 St. Mary's, while No. 2 Valley Catholic will take on No. 6Catlin Gabel at Hillsboro's Hare Field, 7 p.m.

OES advanced Saturday by beating visiting Corbett 3-0. St. Mary's also was a 3-0 winner, downing visiting Creswell.

Catlin Gabel stopped Western Mennonite 1-0, winning 8-7 on PKs, and Valley Catholic won 1-0 over Dayton at Portland Community College in Rock Creek.
