HIGHLIGHTS

The Hawks' win streak came to an end at 11, as Tri-City scored the winning goal with 26 seconds remaining — after tying the score 2-2 with one second left in the second period.

Portland took a 2-0 lead at 12:17 of the second period, but Tri-City cut the gap to 2-1 just 1:32 later.

WHAT IT MEANS

The Winterhawks lost for the first time since Oct. 5, when Kelowna beat them 6-3 in British Columbia.

• Taylor Leier and Chase De Leo scored Portland's goals, while Oliver Bjorkstrand had two assists.
