Half-marathon: The 10th Portland Run Like Hell! half-marathon run/walk starts at 7:45 a.m. at Pioneer Courthouse Square. A 10K run/walk begins at 8:20 a.m., with a kids half-mile run at 8:30 a.m., and a 5K run/walk at 9:10 a.m. It’s a Halloween-themed race with most participants in related costumes.

5K run: Pier Park is the scene for Portland Parks & Recreation’s $5 family-friendly race, which starts at 9 a.m. A 1K kids fun run for ages 8 and younger begins at 8:45 a.m.
