Timbers: Portland (3-1-4) goes for its seventh consecutive game without a loss when it takes on the New England Revolution (2-3-2) at Jeld-Wen Field, 7:30 p.m. (ROOT).

Gymnastics: The USA Junior Olympics men’s nationals, which began Tuesday, continue through Sunday at the Oregon Convention Center. The competition is among boys ages 11 to 18.

Baseball: The three-day NAIA West tournament swings into Day 2 at Concordia University, with games at 9 a.m., noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Softball: The Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament’s first day at Warrior Field in Salem has Concordia-Oregon Tech at 9 a.m. and host Corban-College of Idaho at 11:30 a.m. Corban is ranked ninth among NAIA teams and was the CCC regular-season champion. Concordia is No. 19, and OIT is No. 23.

Winterhawks: Portland’s third trip to the Western Hockey League finals in a three-year span begins with Game 1 at home against Edmonton. Face-off is 7 p.m. at the Rose Garden.

Baseball: Oregon State opens a home series with Cal, 5:30 p.m., and Oregon begins a road series at Washington State, 4 p.m. In the Pac-12, Oregon State (14-4) and Oregon (16-5) are battling for first place, with Arizona State (11-7) and UCLA (11-7) next. OSU is ranked No. 5 in three major Division I polls and No. 6 in another. UO is No. 6 in three polls and No. 11 in the other. ASU is ranked from No. 8 to No. 16, and UCLA is No. 9 to No. 12. ... The NAIA West tourney at Concordia wraps up with a game at noon and, if necessary, a game at 3 p.m.

Softball: The Civil War series has OSU at Oregon, 4 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks). The Ducks lead the Pac-12 at 14-3, two games ahead of ASU and 2 1/2 games in front of Washington. The Ducks are ranked fourth and fifth in the national polls. The Beavers are 6-11, good for eighth in the 10-team conference.

Track and field: The Oregon Twilight meet starts at 4 p.m. at Hayward Field in Eugene.

Basketball: The Portland Chinooks’ second game of the International Basketball League season is a 7 p.m. tilt with the Bellingham Slam at Eastmoreland Courts.

Saturday, May 4

Winterhawks: Game 2 of the WHL finals between Portland and Edmonton is 7 p.m. at the Rose Garden.

Thorns: Portland’s National Women’s Soccer League team takes a 2-0-1 record into a 4 p.m. PT game against the Washington Spirit (0-1-2). The site is the Maryland Soccerplex Stadium in Boyds, Md.

Baseball: Cal is at Oregon State, 2 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks), and Oregon is at WSU, 2 p.m.

Softball: Game 2 of the OSU-UO series starts at noon at Howe Field in Eugene (Pac-12 Networks). ... Portland State’s final regular-season series is at North Dakota. The teams play a noon PT doubleheader.

Baseball: The Pac-12 weekend concludes with Cal at Oregon State, and Oregon at Washington State. Both games start at noon.

Softball: The Civil War series ends with Game 3 in Eugene — OSU vs. Oregon. First pitch is at 1 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks).

Monday, May 6

Baseball: The Portland Pilots play host to Washington State for a 3 p.m. game at Joe Etzel Field.

Tuesday, May 7

Winterhawks: The WHL championship series shifts to the home of the Eastern Conference winner, Edmonton. Game 3, Portland vs. the Oil Kings, starts at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, May 8

Winterhawks: Game 4 of the Portland-Edmonton WHL finals is at 7 p.m.

Timbers: Portland carries a 1-0-3 road record into a 6 p.m. PT game at FC Dallas (ROOT). Dallas is 6-1-2 overall and 5-0-0 at home, with victories at Frisco, Texas over Colorado, Houston, Real Salt Lake, Los Angeles and Vancouver.

Baseball: Oregon State and Portland meet at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer. The nonleague game starts at 5:30 p.m.

Track and field: The Big Sky Conference championships are today through Saturday at Pacific University in Forest Grove.
