Thorns win 2-0 at Chicago


LISLE, Ill. — The Portland Thorns FC scored twice late in the second half for a 2-0 road win Saturday over the Chicago Red Stars.

Danielle Foxhoven put the Thorns ahead in the 70th minute, and Christine Sinclair scored in the 81st minute before an announced crowd of 2,855 at the Benedictine University Sports Complex Stadium.

Alex Morgan assisted on Sinclair's goal.

Karina LeBlanc made three saves for the Thorns.

Portland improved to 2-0-1 in the new National Women's Soccer League.

Chicago slipped to 0-1-1.
