ELMER'S FLAG & BANNER, KITES TOO! - David AnchelObserved annually on February 8th, National Kite Flying Day is celebrated by kite flying enthusiasts near and far. Popular as both a hobby and as a fun outdoor activity, there are a lot of ways to get in on the fun this year:

.) Go out and fly a kite!—Sometimes the best ways to celebrate are the simplest. As long as the weather is permitting, head to a local park and get some air time.

.) Teach someone how to fly a kite—The only thing better than flying a kite is passing that gift onto someone else. Whether it's a friend, your children, or anyone in between, teach someone else about the wonders of kite flying.

.) Buy a new kite—What better way is there to celebrate than by trying out a new kite? At Elmer's, you'll find a great selection of uniquely designed single-line and stunt kites that are perfect for National Kite Flying Day.

.) Mark your calendars—Since 1993, the Southern Oregon Kite Festival has attracted some of the most well-known kite fliers and kite makers to perform and display their creations for locals and tourists alike. Running July 14th through 16th in Brookings, Oregon, mark your calendars now for this FREE, awesome event.
