Ervin L. Jordan

Nov. 18, 1931 — Oct. 23, 2013


Ervin L. Jordan of Canby died Oct. 23, 2013. He was 80.

Mr. Jordan was born in Roosevelt, Minn., to Eleanor and William Jordan. He graduated high school and married Alice Burk Nov. 16, 1959.

He served in the U.S. Army and attained the rank of staff sergeant of the 73rd Armored Tank Battalion. He was awarded the Purple Heart and four gold medals.

Mr. Jordan was a supervisor for Publishers and Smurfit paper mills for 38 years.

He was a high priest in the Church of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include his wife, Allyson Jordan of Canby; daughters, Jodi Ganir of Bend and Chris Andrews of Montana; son, Rick Clements and Rex Berg of Idaho; 16 grandchildren; and 52 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. at the LDS Chapel in Canby. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Willamette National Cemetery.
