CPRD offering weight training classes

The next session of weight training classes at the Chehalem Aquatic Center will begin Jan. and runs Tuesdays and Thursdays for 4 weeks. Class times for women include 8-9 a.m. and 5:30-6:30 p.m. Senior weight training, known as Strong Bones, will take place from 10-11 a.m. Join personal trainer Patty Crowley for these fun and informative sessions. Pre-registration is required in person at 1802 Haworth Avenue, over the phone by calling 503-537-2909 or online by visiting www.cprdnewberg.org. Cost $53 for district residents and $59 for others. .

Linfield hosting softball clinics

The Linfield College Softball Program is conducting two instructional clinics for girls ages 8-18 on Jan. 18 and Feb. 1. All clinic instruction will be provided by the Wildcat coaches and players. The skills covered will include hitting, bunting, baserunning, and fundamental defensive play for infield and outfield. There will also be time for pitchers and catchers to learn from the Wildcat coaches and pitching staff.
