Veritas raises more than $50k
Veritas School held its annual fundraising auction March 8, raising more than $50,000 to support the schools Family of Funds. All money will go directly to support the operation of the school. The Veritas choir performed at the event, as did Poetry Out Loud district winner Andrea Woidyla.
Applications for kindergarten due Friday
Applications for Newberg Public Schools full-day and dual-language kindergarten programs are due by Friday. Registration forms are available at all Newberg elementary school offices and online at www.newberg.k12/or.us.
Grad Night rummage sale this weekend
Prom dress giveaway this weekend
Local Portland-based nonprofit organization, Abbys Closet, will host its 10th Annual Prom Gown Giveaway from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Sunday at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. The event will feature more than 5,000 prom dresses ranging in sizes 0-26, all of which have been donated by various retail shops and individuals across the country. Gown accessories will also be featured and will be given away to each attendee at no cost. The event is free and open to the public. High school students must present their student ID or proof of high school registration to enter the event and receive their free dress and accessory.
