District rolling out ‘ParentVUE’ on Friday

The Newberg School District is scheduled to roll out its online student-tracking system, ParentVUE, Friday. District parents will receive letters from the district containing activation keys that will allow them to access their accounts. The password-protected site will allow parents to view their student’s grades, class schedule and attendance, as well assignments and whether they have been turned in or not. Report card grades will not be available until schools complete the first report-card period in late October. The current roll out is for parents of middle- and high-school students, as the elementary school version is expected to be released later this fall. Students will learn to use the system and gain access to their accounts, through the StudentVUE portal, during advisory period in school. Both portals will be available at https://parent.cascadetech. org/nsd29J or through the Newberg School District mobile app.
