Clothing exchange in Sherwood Saturday

Countryside Community Church in Sherwood will host a clothing exchange at 10 a.m. Saturday. Any gently worn clothing items will be accepted. Beginning at 10 a.m. participants will be released to rummage through all the clothing and take whatever they would like. All of the leftover clothing at the end of the event will be donated to local nonprofit organizations. For more information, email Frances Pavao at frances. Northside Christian to host movie nights

Northside Christian Church will hold free screenings of “Home Run,” a story about a professional baseball player who is forced into rehab in his hometown, at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 26 and 7 p.m. Sept. 27. Popcorn and beverages will be provided. For more information, call the church at 503-538-0440.

Love INC will hold backpack giveaway Aug. 17

Love INC (In the Name of Christ) will hold a backpack giveaway at 9 a.m. Saturday at GodSong Community Church, 1025 Industrial Parkway, Building C. A voucher from Love INC is required and the giveaway includes school supplies and personal care kits as well. Free lunch program at St. Michael church

St. Michael/San Miguel Church is partnering with the Newberg School District to host free lunches for children 18 years old and under from 11 to 11:30 a.m. on weekdays during summer break. Lunches for adults who bring their kids may be purchased for $1. The school district is providing the food through a federally-funded program, which will run until the final week before school starts.
