Pending a final inspection, the Dundee Fire Department will finally get to move into the new fire hall.
Were still looking at (Friday), knock on wood, said Fire Chief John Stock.
Mounting delays pushed back the facilitys opening from February month by month until June, where Stock said everything is finally completed and awaiting approval.
Well see what they need to address between Tuesday and Friday, he said of the Tuesday inspection. If all goes well, we will be given the building Friday. Well move over the weekend most likely so were out of this old station and come Monday morning, we can begin demolition.
The new fire hall is 17,500 square feet and with a cost of $3.68 million, will include four apparatus bays, equipment, decontamination facilities, dormitory rooms, additional storage, administrative areas and training facilities.
