St. Paul native named next Marion County dairy princess

Pierson, daughter of Steve and Susan Pierson, graduated from St. Paul High School in late May with plans to attend Oregon State University in the fall and major in food science. She is active in sports and works at Sar-Ben Farms, her family’s fifth-generation dairy farm.

As part of her coronation, Pierson gave a speech titled “Cows Come First in Our Family,” presented a TV commercial demonstrating the benefits of drinking milk after a hard day’s work and answered an impromptu question.

As dairy princess/ambassador, Pierson will represent Marion County dairy farm families and will promote dairy products. In addition, she will compete for the title of Oregon dairy princess/ambassador in January.

She and retiring 2013 princess/ambassador Jessica Brawley will receive education scholarships.
