St. Paul Parochial School will hold its annual school fundraiser a dinner, dance and auction Feb. 1 in the St. Paul Community Hall and organizers are inviting the public to join in the fun.
The event kicks off at 11 a.m. with an admission-free auction, a silent auction will follow and a live auction is set for 12:30 p.m. Auction items range from vacation trips, antiques and fresh produce, to goods and services donated by local businesses and individuals.
The event also features a raffle drawing for handcrafted items. Tickets are $1 each or 12 for $10 and the raffle items are on display at the Bankers Cup Coffee Shop in St. Paul.
When the sun sets the event will kick into high gear with a buffet dinner followed by music and dancing. A group of community volunteers will prepare and serve the dinner, which this year will include a buffet of barbecued beef and pork and all the trimmings.
After dinner, patrons will travel to the community hall ballroom for an evening of dancing and socializing to the Menace Band. At 10 p.m. a drawing will be held for a $250 gift certificate for a stay at the Allison Inn in Newberg.
Tickets for the dinner and dance are $25 each and are available in advance. For more information, call the school at 503-633-4622 or event chairman Steve Hiller at 503-209-2712.
