Mentor training session set for Jan. 19

Love INC, Rotary donate school emergency kits

Love INC (In the Name of Christ) and Newberg Noon Rotary paretnered to provide emerency buckets for all six classrooms at Ewing Yougn Elementary School. The buckets were delivered to the school Dec. 17.

Get help applying for college loans

Newberg High School will provide confidential help for parents in filling out applications for federal aid at a special event from 3 to 7 p.m. Jan. 14. Help will be available for completing the FAFSA application process. In addition, there will be a presentation on applying for scholarships at 5 p.m. A second presentation in Spanish will be held at 4:30, at which information about local scholarships that will be awarded to eligible Latino seniors this year will be covered. Make reservations via your small school office by Friday to be eligible to partake in an appetizer table at the event.

Blazers tickets for sale

The Newberg High School Grad Night Committee has Blazer tickets for sale for the Jan. 15 contest versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. Tickets are $15 and include a fan package, which provide entry 30 minutes early to watch warm-ups and possibly get autographs.
