Sump receives degree

Newberg resident Riley Sump graduated Saturday from Azusa Pacific University with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. Sump was one of nearly 800 graduates to take part in the winter commencement ceremonies.

Blazers tickets on sale

The Newberg High School Grad Night committee is selling tickets to the Portland Trail Blazers’ Jan. 15 home contest versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. Cost is $15, which includes an early entry to the Moda Center to watch warm-ups and possibly get player autographs.

The tickets will be on sale at NHS home basketball games until supply is exhausted. For more information or to pre-purchase tickets, email the committee at nhsgradnight @gmail.com.

FAFSA workshop at NHS Jan. 14
