Newberg FFA excels in Ag Sales contest
Newberg FFA competed in the District Ag Sales contest Nov. 16 at Dayton High School. Newbergs beginning team placed third, with the advanced team finishing second. For the beginning team, Peter Gentile placed second individually, followed by Emily Sandberg in ninth, Paige Virgin in 15th and Peter Fortner in 17th. For the advanced team, Madison Plummer took fourth individually, followed by Madeline Kuhn in fifth, Margaret Halstead in sixth and Madison Zurcher in ninth. The advanced team qualified to compete in the state competition Dec. 12 in Madras.
Mountain View hosting Zumba fundraiser
The Mountain View Middle School parent group will host a family Zumba night with instructor Jennie Delp from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5. Cost is $5 per person or $20 (max) per family. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. and water bottles will be available for sale.
