Local recorders appointed to leadership positions in OAMR
The Oregon Association of Municipal Recorders announced two appointments Oct. 15. Dundee City Recorder Debra Manning was named OAMR Region II director. Region II includes Clackamas, Multnomah, Washington, and Yamhill counties.
Newberg City Recorder Normal Alley was tabbed as OAMR president.
Both received the oath of office at the associations annual conference Sept. 20 in North Bend.
OAMR is an organization designed to promote governmental relationships and provide educational and training opportunities for Oregon city recorders.
As president, Alley will preside over executive board meetings, serve as liaison between board and general membership, and serve as representative for other professional groups, among other duties.
The Meineke location at 705 N. Springbrook Road has re-opened after closing three years ago. Although the store was scheduled to open Oct. 16, late equipment delivery pushed the grand opening to Oct. 17. The store will be open 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
