Vacant building receives a facelift, tenant sought

Business news — Construction starts on building in Dundee


Construction on the building at 509 S.E. Highway 99W, which has been vacant for years, started a couple of weeks ago as an effort to “clean the place up,” for potential tenants, according to contractor Gordon Stone of CB Two Architects.by: GARY ALLEN - Investing in the future - Sitting unoccupied for years, the building 509 S.E. Highway 99W is being renovated with intentions to host a new tenant in the future.

“Right now there are a number of people looking to lease the existing building, so what we are doing is installing a new roof, new storefront windows, sprucing up the outside,” Stone said. “We’re going to make a nice space to lease.”

The building is owned by Dundee Holdings. Repeated attempts to contact officials of the company went unreturned.

Stone said the initial construction will be done by the end of the month.

“The immediate area will be landscaped as well,” Stone said.
