You can eat well on a budget

Finding simple yet effective ways to make healthy food choices on a budget will be the topic when Lori Sobelson of Milwaukie-based Bob’s Red Mill visits George Fox University Oct. 24.

A GFU alum, Sobelson serves as director of corporate outreach for Bob’s Red Mill. She will present “Healthy Eating on a Budget,” from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Room 105 of the Hoover Academic Building.

The presentation will include a cooking demonstration, food samples, recipe handouts and product samples. A Q&A session will follow.

As director of corporate outreach, Sobelson oversees founders Bob and Charlee Moore’s philanthropy efforts. She does public speaking and teaching, attends trade shows and health conferences, and oversees the Bob’s Red Mill Cooking and Baking School. Previously, she taught at the Culinary Institute of America.
