Grant's girls fall to No. 3 after losing a league game to Benson

PMG PHOTO: CHASE ALLGOOD - Banks' Aspen Slifka and the Braves solidified their hold on second place in the latest OSAA Class 4A girls basketball power rankings, winning its last four games in a row. There was a shakeup — though a modest one — in the most recent top 10 power rankings for Oregon's Class 6A girls basketball teams.

Based on Grant's 58-52 loss to Benson on Friday, the Generals (18-2 overall) fell from second to third in the latest OSAA power rankings, with South Salem (19-3) moving up to No. 2.

In those latest rankings, the top five Class 6A teams were Southridge, South Salem, Grant, Clackamas and Sunset; the only other change there was Sunset's move to fifth and Oregon City falling out of the top five.

With the regular season now in its final week, those rankings mean more every day.

To see how those teams stack up — current number ones include Southridge, La Salle, Cascade, Salem Academy, Monroe and Nixyaawii — here's a quick look at this week's state rankings by the Oregon School Activities Association.
