Vandals trashed Molalla cemetery, tore down surveillance cameras
To the editor:
We want to thank the little darlings who tore down three cameras for surveillance and left garbage scattered all over the cemetery.
Your parents would be proud.

We need National Night Out reinstated in Molalla
To the editor:
Isn't it a shame that the community leaders and population cannot come together to have a National Night Out. I time to teach safety and patriotism to the youth in our community. We in the Ladies Auxiliary always have a tent there to teach the meaning of the flag and the Pledge of Allegiance and to sing the National Anthem. Our nonprofits are there for their form of safety lessons and such.
Much to our surprise this year, there was no plan for National Night Out in the park. Disappointing to say the least. I called the Fire Department and the Police Department and Molalla Communications, who all felt it was needed, but something along the way ended it. No one person is to blame, but circumstances kept it from happening lack of interest, budget cuts and no city permit because the insurance could not be paid.
As a community, it seems we should put our children in the limelight to teach them the need for many things that will make them a good citizen.
Our youth program and committee are very sad that this did not happen. Maybe next year.
