Traffic accident sends one driver to hospital, creates minor delay on Main Street
A Ford Focus ZX3 slammed into a Chevy pickup truck at 5 p.m. at the Y-intersection at the east end of Main Steet in Molalla about 5 p.m. MOnday
A Ford Focus ZX3 heading into downtown Molalla on Highway 211 collided with a Chevy S-500 pick-up truck at the Y-intersection near the east end of Main Street about 5:10 p.m. Monday, according to witnesses.
Details were not immediatley available, but emergency personnel with Molalla Rural Fire Protection District #73 and the Molalla Police Department responded and assited in getting the driver of the Ford onto a stretcher and into an ambulance.
The unidentified driver did not appear to be seriously injured, according to witnesses. He was believed to have been taken to Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center in Oregon City.
The collision in front of Y-Market/Toad's Express Deli at 901 E. Main St., caused significant damage to the front end of the Ford. The car sat in the middle of road for some time, causing minor delays as traffic moved slowly around the accident and emergency vehicles in both directions.
