MCC donates $2,000 per month to the Molalla Adult Community Center for 2014.
The Molalla Adult Center received an early Christmas gift last week from Molalla Communications Company, which pledged to donate $2,000 per month to the center during the entire year 2014.
Center Director Cecily Rose said the money will keep the centers Meals on Wheels program going.
This donation will cover the driving costs for Meals on Wheels and the actual food costs for those meals and the cost of paper products needed, Rose said Friday. I broke down with tears of joy and gratitude yesterday when I received the news.
Rose said she feels that Molalla Communications provides a good example to others when it comes to contributing to the needs of the community.
MCC President Steve Loutzenhiser said Rose shared the centers needs with him.
MCC continues to be a viable, important part of Molalla, Loutzenhiser said. As a result of MCCs vision and success, we are able to support many area organizations, and the Molalla Adult Center is one of those we support. We believe the center provides impactful community service, and we are committd to being a partner to the community. I believe the center provides positive community support.
