Grace Church will hold the concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15
All are invited to attend the free Molalla Adult Community Center Benefit Concert to be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, at Grace Church.
The concert is the third of the Grace Church Artist Series.
Admission is free, but all collected donations will go directly to the senior center.
Under the direction of Don Newell, director of the Molalla Community Choir, various groups and solo artists from Molalla, Colton, Oregon City, and Portland will perform.
"We will have 'classical music and music with class', which covers just about anything," Newell said. Contemporary, gospel, jazz, folk, and new artist materialthere will be something for everyone.
The group Crushed Rose will return for an encore performance and is always an audience favorite, he said. The group consists of four sisters with wonderful vocal blends who come from the Colton area. They have many original songs as well as some old favorites. We Musicians from Oregon City will perform in the concert series for their first time.
Pastor John Baker said, "We are just one of the many local churches that are concerned about the needs of our seniors in Molalla. We are glad to aid the senior center, and have a great evening of locally grown music at the same time."
Local visual artists will offer paintings for sale at the event, with portions of the proceeds being donated to the senior center.
Grace Church is located at 910 N. Molalla Ave.
