JEFF WILSON/THE PIONEER - Despite a day that saw all four seasons of weather come and go, the Culver track & field team competed with some of the region's best athletes Saturday in Bend at the Summit Invitational. Corey Sledge, top, didn't have his best day in the pole vault, and ended up clearing just 13-feet-6 to place fifth. He said he is lacking the right pole at this point in the season and needs to find one to hit his goal of 15-6.
