Get tickets to last event before Rose Festival Queen is selected

The final judged event to determine the 2017 Rose Festival Queen will take place June 1, and the public is invited to attend.

The Greater Portland Area Lions Clubs host the event, which is a luncheon where the princesses will be asked questions and must give impromptu answers in front of judges and business leaders. Immediately following the luncheon, the judges meet in a closed-door session to decide who will be the 2017 Queen of Rosaria.

The selection and coronation will be announced just before the Grand Floral Parade on June 10.

The luncheon takes place from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. June 1 at the Doubletree Hotel at 1000 N.E. Multnomah Blvd. in Portland. Cost is $35 per person, or $280 for a table for eight.

LO Rotary's lobster feed set for June 17

The 33rd-annual lobster feed and charity auction hosted by Lake Oswego Rotary Foundation and Lakewood Center for the Arts will take place June 17 at Lakewood Center, 368 S. State St.

The event begins with cocktails and silent auction at 5 p.m., followed by the lobster feed and clambake at 6:45 p.m. and oral auction at 7:45 p.m.

Tickets to the event are $150 each; or $175 for patron tickets.

Proceeds from the auction benefit the local, regional and international charities supported by Lake Oswego Rotary.
