Andersons celebrate 70 years of marriage

Earl and Jeannette Anderson of West Linn are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. The couple was married May 28, 1944 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Atlantic, Iowa. They will celebrate with family and friends at a reception 4 p.m. May 28 at the Monarch Hotel in Clackamas. Hosting the celebration are the couples’ children and their spouses, Jeanie and Mac Butler of Portland; Dwight and Fran Anderson, Markham, Va.; and Bruce and Amelia Anderson, also of Portland.

The Andersons were residents of Lake Oswego before moving to West Linn in 1962. Mr. Anderson retired as a district supervisor for the Department of Transportation. Mrs. Anderson worked as a librarian assistant at Lewis and Clark College and later as a medical assistant.

They are members of Lake Grove Presbyterian Church. Mr. Anderson is also a member of the Waluga Masons and the Retired Federal Employees.

The Andersons have nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
