After weeks of tours, luncheons, handshakes and smiles, the Rose Festival Court will attend their final judged event prior to the queen selection May 29. This luncheon event is sponsored by the Greater Portland Area Lions Clubs and gives the princesses a final opportunity to make a favorable impression on the judges. The 15 young women represent local communities and their high schools.

Princess Emma Waibel, a student at West Linn High School, and Princess Annette Holgado from St. Mary’s Academy, are members of the court.

At the event, to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel, Lloyd Center, 1000 N.E Multnomah St., Portland, the princesses will be asked questions and must give impromptu answers in front of business leaders and others. Immediately following this event, judges will meet in a closed-door session to determine who will be crowned the 2014 Queen of Rosaria. That announcement will be made at the coronation June 7.

The public is invited to attend the luncheon. Cost is $35; for reservations call Diana Richardson at 503-246-5696 or RoseAnn Eves at 503-758-3434.
