Windermere offices host Share the Warmth coat and blanket drive

More than 30 Windermere offices in Oregon and Southwest Washington are collecting donations

In partnership with local nonprofit organizations, Windermere Real Estate offices throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington are hosting their annual Share the Warmth coat and blanket drive.

Now through Dec. 20, community members are invited to take part this winter by donating coats and blankets to help their neighbors in need.

In the Portland area, Transition Projects Inc. will distribute the coats and blankets to men and women living on the streets of Portland and in local shelters. The organization, which helps people in Portland find permanent housing, estimates that more than 3,500 items are donated during the Share the Warmth coat and blanket drive each year. In addition to Windermere, several other local businesses throughout the Portland metro area also serve as donation drop-off locations each year.

Community members can bring new or gently used and laundered adult-sized coats and twin-sized blankets to any of the following Portland-area Windermere offices, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Community members should call the offices directly for weekend drop-off hours.

Local offices include:

n Bridgeport, 16760 SW Upper Boones Ferry Road, Suite 103, 503-639-7914

n Charbonneau (Wilsonville), 31960 SW Charbonneau Drive, Suite 105, 503-694-1011

In addition to Transition Projects, many other organizations and communities will benefit from Windermere’s Share the Warmth coat and blanket drive, including Camas Washougal Treasure House, Safe House and Share House in Vancouver and Homeless Advocacy and Outreach Project (HOAP) in Salem.
