The Bat Company, playing in the Oregon 14U B state tournament in Hillsboro last weekend, went 6-0 to claim the state championship.

The team was coached by Mike McCormack and Cody Nelson, and included Savannah Moore, Emma Kaer, Alexandra Stearns, Maddie Wilk, Kayla Krueger, Rachel Opferman, Macy Lappin, Leanna Rosenbaum, Brooke Wilk, Faith Adler, Allison Sweeney and Mackenzie Nelson.

After winning a very close contest in its Friday opener and posting a convincing victory in game two, the team advanced to winners bracket play for Saturday.

The Bat Company's next three games were extremely exciting, with multiple lead changes and drama-filled victories of one and two runs.

The final championship game was a war of attrition that ended with The Bat Company taking home the first-place trophy.

Many of these girls will play against each other in the coming years, playing for Lake Oswego, Lakeridge, West Linn and Tualatin high schools.
