Here's what's happening at City Hall and around Lake Oswego this week

EVERYONE'S IRISH TONIGHT (MARCH 3): There'll be a wee bit o' celebrating from 6-8 p.m. Friday when the Adult Community Center (505 G Ave.) hosts its "Everyone's Irish Tonight" party. CORNELL CORRIDOR OF TREES (MARCH 5): Friends of Hallinan Heights Woods will host a work party from 1-3 p.m. Sunday to "free the trees" in the Cornell Corridor (1185 Cornell St.) from ivy and invasive vegetation. Volunteers should wear long pants and sturdy shoes and bring gloves and water. INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE: Lake Oswego residents can now register for an AARP-sponsored tax-aide program at the Adult Community Center (505 G Ave.). Trained volunteers are prepared to handle most situations for retired, disabled and low-income individuals. Appointments are available at the ACC from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Thursdays through April 13; membership in AARP is not required. For more information, call 503-635-3758.

SERVICES & ACTIVITIES GUIDE: The City has published a new version of its Services & Activities Guide that includes information from hundreds of sources on arts and culture organizations, historical resources, schools, business districts, City programs and more. The guide also features a directory and full-color map, highlighting key points of interest. It's available on racks at City facilities and at other locations throughout the community, or by calling the Citizen Information Center at 503-635-0257.
