Missing Lake Oswego girl found in Portland

A 14-year-old girl named Emerald was found in Portland about 2 p.m. Sunday after she had been reported missing late last week. Her family did not release her last name. Emerald is reportedly in good health and is now home safe with her family. “We would like to thank everyone who helped to get the word out about her and those who called in tips,” Lake Oswego Police said in a statement. “It was very much appreciated.”

The Lake Oswego Police Department is asking the public to be on the lookout for a suspected runaway who has been missing since March 8.

Emerald is 14 years old, about 5 feet tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds. Her family declined to release her last name, but did report she was last seen leaving her residence in the 18000 block of Westminster Drive.

According to Sgt. Tom Hamann, the teen was seen carrying a sleeping bag and toiletries. Her family described her as being comfortable outdoors, and said she does not have a cellphone.
