Teacher Diana Lavender, grand marshal of the homecoming parade, crowned LOHS senior Haley Jensen as the homecoming queen. Kirk Jensen, her father, stood by her side as onlookers snapped photos.

LOHS dancers sashayed about the field during the big event, and to top off the evening, the Lakers trounced the Canby High Cougars at the football game, 35-14.

Haley Jensen was one of a nine-princess court announced last week at an assembly.

Each grade level votes on its princesses, and two freshmen, two sophomores, two juniors and three seniors comprise the court. The entire student body votes on the queen.
