NW Children's Theater to open 22nd season

Lineup is 'practically perfect in every way'

NW Children’s Theater will offer an adventurous lineup of family favorites and imaginative adaptations in its 2014-15 season. The new season promises to be the most ambitious season yet.

The season includes:

“Sherlock Holmes” running Sept. 27 through Oct. 26, with performances set for Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

“Mary Poppins,” a musical based on P.L. Travers’ books and the Walt Disney film. This will be a perfect way to spend a “jolly holiday.” This production runs Dec. 6 through Jan. 4, 2015. Days vary but performances are set for noon and 4 p.m.

“The Jungle Book,” an original adaptation of the Rudyard Kipling classic, created in partnership with Anita Menon’s Anjali School of Dance. This production runs Jan. 31 through March 1 with noon and 4 p.m. performances on Saturday and Sunday.

The 22nd season ends with a splash with a NWCT World Premiere Adaptation of “The Little Mermaid” April 25 through May 25 with noon and 4 p.m. shows Saturday and Sunday. This musical tale of a girl longing for life above the waves travels under the sea and high into the air with the help of the A-WOL Dance Collective.
