Theater seeks high school students

Bag&Baggage Productions, Hillsboro’s resident professional theater, is offering its first professional development program for high school students who attend Liberty, Century, Hilhi or Glencoe high schools.

This program, funded in part by a generous grant from the Ritz Family Foundation, will provide up to eight young women the chance to work alongside Bag&Baggage’s professional actors as paid members of the cast of the September 2014 production of Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible.”

Four additional students will be hired as members of the production crew.

Bag&Baggage is offering a free workshop for any high schooler from Hillsboro who wants to learn more about auditioning for professional acting roles 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, May 25, at the Venetian Theatre. No registration is required.
