Doctor Robert Seward, whose article was in the Dec. 9 issue of the Hillsboro Tribune, states that the cause of Hillary's defeat was Rush Limbaugh, FOX News and the FBI smear. Further, that the root cause was the abolishment of the Fairness Doctrine. Really?

The 2016 campaign demonstrated unprecedented bias and outright hostility from the left wing media. Does the doctor really believe that Limbaugh and FOX overwhelmed all the media, including ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, The Washington Post and other liberal media?

The doctor calls FOX owner and CEO Rupert Murdoch and Limbaugh sociopaths who trumpet hate speech, bigorty, racism and bald-faced lies, typical charges of the elite liberals. He further states that the indoctrination of FOX and Rush has resulted in "masses of uninformed Americans," the "dumbing down of millions" and an "uninformed, irrational electorate."

According to the doctor, the only citizens qualified to vote are the elite, such as the doctor and his elite friends. The rest of us citizens are just ignorant boobs.

The doctor whould read a very surprising article by the very liberal Maureen Dowd, longtime columnist for The New York Times. She states, in part, "The election was a complete repudiation of Barack Obama; his fantasy world of political correctness, the politization of the Justice Department and the IRS, an out of control EPA, his neutering of the military, his nonsupport of the police and his fixation on things like transgender bathrooms." ("Election Therapy From My Basket of Deplorables," published Nov. 26)

Further, "The Democrats have instead become a party where incivility and bad manners are taken for granted, rudeness is routine, religion is mocked and there is absolutely no respect for a differing opinion."

The foregoing is a good description of the doctor's article.

The doctor wants the Fairness Doctrine to be reinstated. Media matters could then be censored by nonelected, faceless bureaucrats. Rush and FOX could be closed down and this could eliminate the masses of uninformed Americans and the uninformed, irrational electorate.

The election results no doubt have caused the doctor and his friends to have a freakout. They should go to their crying rooms, get their favorite stuffed animal and sleep it off.

Oh, I did not vote for Trump, nor did I vote for Hillary.
