School board to hear boundary proposal

Share

Hillsboro School Board members will hear a finalized version March 18 of a proposal to adjust school attendance boundaries for the next school year.

After several months of work by a boundary committee comprised of principals and parents at the affected schools — and four public input meetings — the committee will submit a plan that will affect students at nine elementary schools. Orenco and Quatama elementary schools are the most heavily affected, as residential construction in the Orenco area is burgeoning.

Next Tuesday’s board meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at the district administration office, 3083 N.E. 49th Place in Hillsboro.
