Raiders secure league title with a 12-2 win
Reynolds closed out the league title on Wednesday with a pair of five-run explosions to down Central Catholic 12-2 at the University of Portland.
The Raiders broke into the lead in the third inning, getting its first run across on an RBI-single by Cameron Sheets. Jake Crandall added a triple later in the inning and scored when Michael Vaughn beat out an infield single.
Reynolds added five more runs in the fourth inning loading the bases with Zach Osbornes lead-off single followed by a couple walks. Brady Ching drew another free base to bring across a run, while Crandall banged a two-run single to right field later in the rally.
Skylar Johnson finished the scoring with a two-run single in the seventh.
Reynolds pitcher Drew Eubanks finished a perfect league season (5-0), scattering five hits and striking out six.
