Centennial finds its groove to down The Dalles

The Dalles is held under 20 points in each of the final three sets

by: THE OUTLOOK: DAVID BALL - Centennials Chelsea Kline celebrates after seeing a ball go down on the other side Tuesday night. Centennial’s volleyball team scored a four-set win over The Dalles-Wahtonka on Tuesday night, pouring it on after a slow start.

The Eagles took command of the pivotal third set when setter Amanda Byhre surprised The Dalles with a blind set back over her head that dropped in the front row on the other side for a 19-15 lead.

Centennial left little doubt in the final set with Chelsea Kline pounding out a series of points in the middle for a 7-1 lead that prompted The Dalles to call an early time out.

The Eagles maintained the comfortable margin all the way to the finish line with Kline hammering a kill through the middle to convert match point.
