David Glen Bahner

Troutdale resident David Glen Bahner died Sunday, Aug. 5, with his family by his side. He was 54.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, at Gresham Elks Lodge.

David was born Feb. 20, 1959, in Troutdale to Glen Bahner and Carolee Smith. He was a mechanic for Gresham Toyota for most of his career and an avid Harley Davidson rider.

David is survived by Senna, his wife of 28 years; his sons, Joshua, Grant, Jamie and Christopher; and grandson, Jaxon.

Maria Heissler

Dec. 24, 1926-July 28, 2013

Gresham resident Maria Heissler died Sunday, July 28. She was 86.

A private memorial service will be held.

Maria was born Dec. 24, 1926, in Germany. She married Robert Heissler in 1953 and worked as a homemaker.

The day after Maria died, her husband died. She is survived by her son, Ed Heissler of Gresham; daughter-in-law, Gail Heissler of Gresham; daughter, Christina Heissler of Albany; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Robert Heissler

Dec. 13, 1925-July 29, 2013

Gresham resident Robert Heissler died Monday, July 29. He was 87.

A private memorial service will be held.

Robert was born Dec. 13, 1925, in Germany.

He served in the German Navy in World War II and worked as a steamfitter, retiring in 1980. Robert married Maria Heissler in 1953. She preceded him in death by a day.

He is survived by his son, Ed Heissler of Gresham; daughter-in-law, Gail Heissler of Gresham; daughter, Christina Heissler of Albany; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Harry Muse

Harry Muse

Former Gresham resident, Harry Muse, died July 16 at Royalton Place retirement home in Milwaukie. A memorial service will be held at Assembly of God Church in Sandy, Oregon on August 19th at 2:00pm. He was 95.

Harry Merle Muse was born in Humeston, Iowa on August 16, 1917 as one of six children to Roy and Hattie (Gibbs) Muse.

In 1941, Harry entered in the U.S. Army where he served as a sergeant and Tank Commander during WWII. After the war he returned home to marry his sweetheart Wyetha McCloskey on November 7, 1945. On their honeymoon, they came to Oregon to visit family and ended up settling permanently in Gresham. Harry got a job at the Boring Post Office and worked as a rural letter carrier for over 30 years until his retirement in 1974.

Over the years Harry has enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, square dancing and many winters in Mesa, Arizona Harry loved life and people.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Wyetha Muse, his two sons, Merlyn of Portland and Greg of Sandy, daughter Brenda Kendell of Lebanon, Oregon, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
